The Outer Banks Restaurant Association (OBRA) has been hosting the Taste of The Beach for over 25 years. This grand food festival event on The Outer Banks of North Carolina will …feature wine tastings, cooking classes, special menu presentations, celebrity guest chef appearances, brewery tours, tapas crawls and many more events with exciting array of creative combinations of culinary delights and fun activities on the Outer Banks.

Runners and walkers embark on a 8K/5 mile point to point course including road and trail (through part of the Nags Head Woods Conservancy) for a share of Kelly’s “pot of gold”, Green Glory and fun! Awards and post race celebration and hospitality is held immediately following the race at Kelly’s Tavern. This event is one of the many races in the Outer Banks. Extreme weather patterns, deep waters and shifting shoals combine to make the Outer Banks beaches some of the best board riding experiences on the East Coast. Steps away from your oceanfront rental home or condo you can hang ten. The beaches of the Outer Banks require all boarders to be leashed to their board and to stay at least 300 feet away from pubic piers. Locals report some of the best waves in Kill Devil Hills to be near the Avalon Pier and in the area around First and Second Street.
